NUvault privacy notice

What the current NUvault account experience stores and what may be shared when you use connected services.

Updated November 4, 2026

Account information

NUvault operates in Nevada, United States. Creating an account does not ask for your email, government ID or recovery phrase. The account service does record your sign-in wallet address, account identifier, chosen name, name history and profile settings. An address can still be personal information when linked to a person.

Private contact records, friend requests, blocks and name-resolution records support the people features. “Private contacts” means they are not your public address book; it does not mean that the application’s storage contains no contact information.

Sessions and browser storage

NUvault uses account-session cookies to keep you signed in and security records to validate sign-in challenges, prevent replay and limit abusive requests. The public deployment is designed to use secure, HttpOnly session cookies. Sign-out controls revoke the relevant NUvault sessions.

Your browser stores appearance and display preferences. Wallet connection libraries may also store information required for their sessions. Clearing site data can remove these local settings or connection state; it does not delete server-side account history or replace wallet recovery.

Payments and service providers

If financial services are enabled, the service needs operation details such as assets, amounts, destinations, request references and status information. Provider-session credentials are stored encrypted by the account service. Encryption of those credentials does not mean every account or transaction field is hidden from NUvault.

Selected providers receive the information needed for their operation. Your wallet provider handles its own wallet connection and signing processes. Provider information practices and public blockchain records are separate from NUvault’s records. Do not assume a confidential route conceals all information from service operators.

Technical requests and safety

Opening the site sends normal network information, including an IP address and browser request details, to the host. Account requests use rate-limit records and security checks. The site currently loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser also makes requests to that service.

Support or incident investigation may require information you choose to provide. Send only what is needed and use a confirmed contact. Never include private keys, recovery phrases, sign-in codes, authentication cookies or full signing payloads.

Keeping records and deleting data

Name reservations and name-change history are retained to protect ownership and enforce the lifetime rename rule. Transaction or request records, when present, also support status tracking, duplicate prevention and investigation. Signing out or deactivating a name does not delete these records.

Self-service account deletion and a final retention schedule are not available in this preview. A support contact for data requests must be published before public launch. Public blockchain entries and records independently held by another provider cannot be erased by changing a NUvault profile.

Your choices

You can choose whether to connect a wallet, change available profile and discovery settings, manage contacts and blocks, and end your NUvault sessions. You can also decide not to activate an external service. Review the information and permissions requested before proceeding.

The Help centre lists the support contact when one is published. Applicable privacy rights are not removed by this notice. Updates to this notice will appear here with a revised date.
